Regarding your question, I am not sure what you mean by offset. If you mean the intercept of regression, then I am assuming that it is present as one of the elements (specifically, β_0) in the coefficients vector β. If you print out the X_train and X_test matrices, you will find that they contain a column of 1s which is the placeholder column for β_0, the intercept of regression. Does that answer your question?
